ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team will host Gwynedd Mercy University for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship on Saturday afternoon. The game is a rematch from last year's title game.
 
The Knights are the No. 1 seed in the postseason, finishing CSAC action 17-1 and are now 24-2 overall. Neumann is also ranked No. 15 in the latest D3hoops.com poll. This is the fourth straight title game for the Knights, the first on their home court.
 
Neumann defeated Rosemont 87-69 in the semifinal game on Wednesday. Four Knights netted double-digits in the win. 
Carl Wallace tallied a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. 
Darian Barnes netted 25 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. 
DeShawn Lowman added 20 points and 
Tyaire Hudson had 15 points.
 
Gwynedd Mercy, who is the No. 3 seed, defeated Cabrini on a buzzer-beater, 73-71, in the semifinals to advance to the championship game. The Griffins also defeated Centenary 81-77 in the first round on Monday.
 
The Knights took the regular season series from the Griffins, 2-0. On the road, Neumann defeated GMU 90-78 back in December. Barnes netted 15 points and nine rebounds in the win while Lowman added 10 points and six assists.
 
Back in the Mirenda Center, the Knights won 92-77. Lowman exploded for 27 points and 13 rebounds. Wallace scored 20 points and 
DeAndre Williams added 19.
 
For the regular season, Barnes was named the CSAC Defensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday. Barnes and Lowman both received first team honors and Wallace was named to the second team. Head Coach 
Jim Rullo was voted the CSAC Coach of the Year.
 
The winner will received the CSAC automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show will take place on Monday.
