ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team fell 15-1 to Arcadia University on Wednesday afternoon in in the duel of the Knights.
After a scoreless first inning, Arcadia plated five runs in the second inning. The Knights added another run in the third, six more runs in the fifth inning and three in the ninth.
Neumann avoided the shutout with a run in the eighth inning.
Kyle Weller led the inning off with a single and came around to score on a double by
Nick Panissidi.
James Angellella started the game and went the first 1.1 innings. He allowed four runs on four hits.
Jerome Cevetello pitched 3.1 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit and struck out four.
Neumann (11-12) gets back into conference action on Saturday with a doubleheader with Cabrini. First pitch is slated for 12:00 PM.
