LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team took both games of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. Game scores were 9-1 and 4-3.
 
Cody MacNair went 4-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Matt McLaughlin was 3-for-4 with three RBI. Zach Youngberg picked up the win in the first game, going 7.0 innings. He allowed on unearned run on four hits and struck out four.
 
MacNair put the Knights on the board with a solo homerun in the first inning. The Highlanders answered with an unearned run in the bottom of the third to tie the game at one.
 
Neumann took back the lead with three runs in the fourth inning. Spencer Young reach base on a walk to lead off the inning and came around to score on an RBI single by McLaughlin. Joe Nepi scored an unearned run as he scored on an error. McLaughlin then score on a double by MacNair.
 
McLaughlin hit a two-run triple in the fifth innings to give the Knights a 6-1 lead. Chuck Trentler knocked in two runs with a double in the sixth inning and then scored on a single by Eric Bergman.
 
In game two, Neumann again scored first with an unearned run in the top of the first. Cairn answered with a run of its own in the bottom of the first for a 1-1 game. The Highlanders took a 3-1 lead with a two-run homerun in the third inning.
 
The Knights plated an unearned run in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to one, 3-2. In the top of the sixth inning, Neumann made its move. Bergman singled and came around to score on a double by Nick Panissidi. Kyle Weller then scored on an error by the Highlanders.
 
Zach Cooney started the game and went 2.0 innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and struck out three. Patrick Graham went 5.0 innings in relief and got the win. He allowed just three hits and struck out five.
 
Neumann (10-10, 5-3 CSAC) will host Cairn tomorrow for a single CSAC game beginning at 2:00 PM.
