MOOSIC, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team dropped a 7-0 decision to Keystone College on Friday afternoon in a semifinal game of the 2017 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tournament.
The Giants jumped on the board in the first inning with a two-run double. The game would remain 2-0 until Keystone added a run in the fifth inning. The Giants doubled their lead with three runs in the seventh before adding their final run in the eighth.
Zach Cooney started the game and went 5.0 innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and struck out four.
Anthony Stricker pitched 1.2 innings and
Bobby Sefick finished up the game on the mound.
Neumann (21-17) will face the winner of the first elimination game between Immaculata and Gwynedd Mercy, which is set to get started at 3:00 PM. The Knights' game will begin at 7:00 PM tonight with the winner advancing to tomorrow's championship game and the loser being eliminated.
