ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team fell 3-0 to Swarthmore College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Garnet got on the board in the 11
th minute as they found the back of the cage off a shot from just inside the circle. After halftime, Swarthmore went up 2-0 on a shot almost like its first goal. The Garnet added their third goal on a penalty strike with just under five minutes remaining.
Lizzie Yu started the game in goal for the Knights and made eight saves.
Mary Miller made two saves in the second half.
Neumann (0-3) will hit the road for its next three games, beginning at Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday. Action is slated to get underway at 12:00 PM.
