ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team took a three-set win over Bryn Mawr College on Wednesday evening in non-conference action. Set scores were 25-8, 25-23 and 25-7.
Melanie Malseed tallied 15 kills for the Knights.
Rachel Cray handed out 16 assists.
Kirsten Longueira notched seven service aces.
Rachael Hoffman added five.
The Knights ran away with sets one and three. With Longueira serving, she took a 10-7 first set score and increased it to 14-7. The with Hoffman serving, Neumann took a 24-8 lead. A kill by Malseed sealed the first set win.
The teams battled back and forth in the second set. Tied at 23, the Knights took advantage of two Owls errors to go up 2-0.
Longueira and Hoffman once against served the Knights to victory in the third set.
Neumann (14-12) will host Marymount on Sunday afternoon beginning at 12:00 PM for an Atlantic East match-up.
