IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win at Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon in an Atlantic East Conference match. Set scores were 25-23, 25-19 and 25-12.
 
Melanie Malseed led the Knights with 11 kills, only two errors, on 25 attempts for a .360 hitting percentage. Malseed and Hayley Glah each tallied 18 digs. Carlee Herrin added 10 digs. Alex Koppany handed out 16 assists while Rachel Cray dished out 10.
 
In the first set, the Mighty Macs jumped out to a17-12 advantage. The Knights chipped their way back and on a kill by Rachael Hoffman tied the game at 21. The teams then traded service errors for a 22-all score. Malseed and Hoffman tallied kills as Neumann completed the come back and took set one 25-23.
 
In the second set, the teams went back and forth to start. Down by two, 15-13, the Knights scored six straight points and nine of the next 10 for a 22-16 lead. A kill by Ariana Pena sealed the 25-19 win.
 
The Knights scored seven straight points midway through the third set and cruised to the 25-12 set win and 3-0 match win.
 
Neumann (10-11, 2-0 Atlantic East) will head to Cabrini on Tuesday evening for more Atlantic East action, beginning at 7:00 PM.
