ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Bryn Athyn College 74-62 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Aaron Johnson-Chavis notched a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds. He also added three blocks.
Waheem Lowman tallied 13 points and
Raquan Brown-Johnson added 12.
Isaiah Wilmore had a double-double as well with 11 points and 10 boards.
Early in the game, the teams were knotted at six when the Knights went on an 11-0 run for a 17-6 lead. With 8:12 on the clock, Neumann had built a 16 point lead, 27-11. The Lions then went on a 14-5 run to get back within five, 30-25, with 3:54 left before halftime. The teams traded baskets down the stretch and Neumann took a 38-33 lead into the break.
The Knights held the lead throughout the second half, with their lead ranging from 4 to 12 points, as they came away with the 74-62 win.
Neumann (7-4) will take some time off until after the holiday when it will participate in the Crowne Plaza Holiday Classic at Albright College. In the first game on December 29, the Knights will face Susquehanna beginning at 2:00 PM.
