AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Neumann University baseball team continued spring break action with a 14-7 win over the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Monday.
Cody MacNair went 5-for-6, knocked in six runs and scored three.
John Schoelkopf was 4-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored.
Curt Yenchik finished 4-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Josh Cruz started the game and went 4.2 innings. He allowed four runs on six hits.
Nick Henry went 1.1 innings and allowed two unearned runs on two hit.
Kutter Endy picked up the save, going the final 3.0 innings.
Neumann opened the scoring with a single run in the second inning. McaNair hit a three-run homerun in the third inning for a 4-0 lead. The Knights then plated four runs in the fourth inning. MacNair knocked in another pair on a single. Yenchik hit a solo shot in the seventh inning.
Neumann (3-0) is back on the field tomorrow when it will face Concordia (Minn.) at 11:30 AM.
