ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team was doubled up by Stockton University, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action.
Jake Urena went 3-for-4.
Joey Pedorenko added two hits and knocked in two runs.
Cody MacNair scored two runs.
Jared Morris started the game. He went five innings and allowed four runs in the loss.
Isaiah Morales pitched two innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits.
Taylor Reynolds and
Josh Cruz finished out the game on the mound.
The Ospreys opened the game with a run in the top of the first. The Knights took advantage of an error and scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the first. Stockton answered with two runs in the top of the second inning to take a 3-2 lead inning to take a 3-2 lead.
In the fourth inning, MacNair reached on a wild pitch after striking out. He scored on a sacrifice fly by Pedorenko to tie the game at three.
Stockton took the lead back with a run in the sixth inning. The Ospreys added two more runs in the seventh for the 6-3 score.
Neumann (8-11) will host Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday for a single non-conference game. First pitch is slated for 3:30 PM.
