ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team picked up its first win with a 6-3 decision over Rosemont College on Friday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
The Knights won two out of three points in doubles action. The duo of
Ashley Francis and
Maddy Varney won 8-2 at second doubles. Neumann took the third doubles point by forfeit.
In singles action, the Knights won points in three through six singles.
Mia Cimino won 6-1, 7-6 in the third flight. Francis helped get her second point of the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles.
Lindsey Padilla clinch the match with a 6-2, 10-8 win at fifth singles. Neumann picked up the point at sixth singles also by forfeit.
Neumann (1-6, 1-6 CSAC) heads to Keystone tomorrow for more conference action beginning at 12:00 PM.
