LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball fell at Cairn University 3-1 on Monday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest.
Cairn scored all three of its runs in the fourth inning as five straight batters reached base. Neumann plated its run in the top of the ninth inning as
Curt Yenchik walked with one out.
Eric Jester came in to pinch run and scored on a single by
Joey Gorman. The Knights had the tying run on base, but the runner was left stranded.
Jared Morris started the game and went 4.0 innings in the loss. He allowed three runs on four hits.
Colin Perro pitched the next three innings and allowed just one hit.
Isaiah Morales pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning.
Neumann (19-18, 10-3 CSAC) will host Cairn on Wednesday in the final regular season home game of the season. First pitch is slated for 3:00 PM.
