ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team opened the season with a 2-0 loss to Delaware Valley University on a rainy Friday afternoon.
 
The Aggies scored a goal in each half for the 2-0 final.
 
Shots for the game were close, as the Aggies edged the Knights 10-8. Neumann had more shots in the second half, leading 7-5. Sam Picker led the Knights with four shots. Lizzie Yu made five saves in net.
 
The Knights had a few changes as the buzzer sounded at the end of the game as they had four penalty corners in the final two minutes.
 
Neumann (0-1) will hit the road for the first time on Tuesday as its heads to Bryn Athyn for non-conference action beginning at 7:00 PM.
