BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team doubled up Bryn Athyn College 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon to pick up its first win of the season.

Sam Picker opened the scoring with a goal in the 15
th minute.
Kelly Rodgers put the Knights up 2-0 in the 27
th minute.
The Lions cut the Knights' lead in half two minutes later and the teams went into halftime with a 2-1 score.
Lizzie Yu made two saves in net. Neumann out-shot Bryn Athyn 17-3 overall and 12-3 on net.
Bryn Athyn had a penalty corner as time was running out in regulation, but the ball hit the foot of the Lion's before they could get a shot off and Neumann held on for the 2-1 win.
Neumann (1-1) returns home on Friday to host Hood. The game is slated to begin at 7:00 PM.
