SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team fell to Swarthmore College 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Garnet scored the only game in the first half for a 1-0 lead. Swarthmore scored twice to start the second half before Neumann got on the board.
Kayla Payne found the back of the cage off a pass from
Sam Picker to put the Knights on the board in the 58
th minute. The Garnet then wrapped up the scoring in the 67
th minute for the 4-1 final.
Lizzie Yu was busy in net and made 14 saves.
Neumann (3-4) will return home to host St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday beginning at 12:00 PM.
