LANCASTER, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team fell at Franklin & Marshall College 3-1 on Tuesday evening.
 
The Diplomats took the first set 25-9. The Knights came back to tie the match at one, taking set two 25-22. F&M wrapped up the match with a 25-20 and 25-16 win in the third and fourth sets.
 
Melanie Malseed led the Knights with 10 kills and 12 digs. Rachel Cray and Alex Koppany each handed out 12 assists.
 
The teams battled back and forth in the second set and were knotted at 18. With a 23-22 lead, Malseed tallied a kill and Cray notched a service ace for the set win. In the final two sets, the Knights were down late, but battled in each before eventually falling.
 
Neumann (4-1) will head to the Buttermaker Tournament at Muhlenberg College this weekend. The Knights will play a pair of matches on Friday evening and Saturday.
