ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team dropped a 95-80 decision to Cabrini University on Saturday afternoon in an Athletic East Conference match-up.
Waheem Lowman netted 19 points to lead the Knights.
Sanoussi Abdourhamane notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and added three blocks.
Isaiah Wilmore added 13 points.
The first part of the first half remained close and with 10:36 on the clock, Cabrini held a 20-18 advantage. Over the next seven minutes, the Cavaliers went on a 21-5 run for a 41-23 lead. The teams traded baskets over the final three minutes and Cabrini took a 50-31 lead into the break.
The teams battled back and forth and remained even throughout the second half, but the deficit from the first half was too much to overcome and the Cavaliers came away with the 95-80 win.
Neumann (9-9, 0-5 Atlantic East) will host Wesley College on Wednesday evening for an Atlantic East Conference doubleheader with the women. The men are slated to tip-off at 8:00 PM.
