Knights Blanked by Wolverines in Regular Season Finale

DOVER, Del. – The Neumann University field hockey team dropped in its last Atlantic East regular season contest to Wesley College, 4-0, on Wednesday evening.
 
In the second minute of the match, the Wolverines put their first goal of the match into the cage. During the 2nd quarter, Wesley netted two more goals, making it 3-0 at halftime. In the 53rd minute of the contest the Wolverines scored their final goal to secure the win at 4-0.
 
The Knights were outshot 30-0, and 26-0 of which were on cage. Lizzie Yu was busy in net and made 20 saves. Erica D'Mello and Nani Espada each tallied a defensive save.
 
Neumann (5-12, 1-4 Atlantic East) will prepare for the first round of Atlantic East post-season play. The Knights be the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3 seeded Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday. Time is TBD.
