RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Cabrini University 89-79 on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference match-up.
Isaiah Wilmore led four Knights in double-digits with 21 points.
Waheem Lowman tallied 20 points.
Raquan Brown-Johnson notched a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Mark Perry also had a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards.
Jordan Collins grabbed 11 rebounds.
The first part of the contest was close with three lead changes and four tied scores. With the teams knotted at 25, the Knights scored 12 straight points and finished the half on a 14-4 run for a 39-29 lead at break.
The Knights held a double-digit lead for most of the second half and led by as many as 21 (69-48 and 71-50) midway through the quarter. The Cavaliers started to make a move and went on a 12-3 run to pull within 12, 74-62, with five minutes remaining in regulation. A three-pointer by Cabrini with 1:31 on the cock pulled the Cavaliers to within nine, 80-71. The Knights went 9-for-12 from the line over the last minute and a half to keep the Cavaliers at arm's length and come away with the 89-79 conference win.
Neumann (12-12, 3-8 Atlantic East) will wrap up the regular season on Saturday as it heads to Wesley College. Action is slated to get underway at 2:00 PM.
