DOVER, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team wrapped up the 2018-19 regular season with an 80-69 Atlantic East Conference win at Wesley College on Saturday afternoon.
Isaiah Wilmore led five Knights in double-digits with 18 points.
Waheem Lowman netted 16 points.
Mark Perry scored 15 and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double.
Raquan Brown-Johnson tallied 13 and
Sanoussi Abdourhamane added 11.
Wesley held the pace of the game early and built up a 14 point advantage, 27-13, midway through the half. Neumann began to chip its way back into the game and tied the score at 40 with 1:08 left before halftime. Wilmore and Perry hit the final the half and the Knights took a 44-40 lead into the break.
The game came down to the last 10 minutes as the teams were tied at 61. Holding a 69-66 lead, the Knights scored eight straight points for a 77-66 advantage with just under a minute remaining. Key free throws were made in the final minute to seal the win for Neumann.
The Knights wrap up the regular season 13-12 overall. Neumann will now wait for the ECAC postseason announcement to see if its season will continue.
