ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Marywood University 84-66 in an Atlantic East Conference game on Wednesday evening.
Prior to the game, the Knights honored its second senior
Mark Perry. Perry finished the game with 10 points.
Waheem Lowman tallied 21 points in the win.
Jordan Collins added 20 while
Raquan Brown-Johnson netted 10.
Sanoussi Abdourhamane grabbed 11 boards and five blocks.
The teams battled for the first part of the game. Holding a 22-21 lead, the Knights went on a 9-0 run to take a 10 point led, 31-21. Neumann's largest lead of the half came going into the locker room, 40-28.
The Knights built up a 20 point advantage six minutes into the second half, 54-34. Each team went on mini runs throughout the rest of regulation, but Neumann kept the double-digit lead and came away with the 84-66 win.
Neumann (11-12, 2-8 Atlantic East) will hit the road for the final two games of the regular season. The Knights will travel to Cabrini next Wednesday evening for conference action beginning at 8:00 PM.
