KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Neumann University baseball team fell to Saint Mary's University of Minnesota 9-3 on Friday afternoon.
Will Hart started the game on the mound and went 3.0 innings. He allowed seven runs, four earned, on seven hits.
David Alvarez pitched 4.0 innings in relief and
Nick Henry went the final 2.0 innings.
The Cardinals took advantage of some Knights errors in the third inning and scored five runs, two of which were earned. They plated some insurance runs in the fourth, sixth and eighth innings.
The Knights scored all of their runs in the seventh inning.
Danny Padilla led off with a walk and scored on a triple by
Zach Ray. Ray then scored on a single by
Eric Jester, who then scored on an error later in the inning.
Neumann (4-5) will face Penn State Abington tomorrow as the spring break schedule continues. First pitch is slated for 10:00 AM.
