ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team defeated Susquehanna University 6-1 on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference contest.
Curt Yenchik led the Knights, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.
Jared Morris started the game and picked up his sixth win of the season. He went 8.0 innings and allowed one run on seven hits.
John Lindeborn pitched the ninth inning to finish the game.
Each team plated a run in the first inning. For the Knights, Lindeborn walked and came around to score on a single by Yenchik.
Neumann scored four runs in the third inning to break open the game. Yenchik hit a two-run single and then the Knights capitalized on an error and plated two unearned runs.
The Knights added an insurance run in the seventh as Lindeborn knocked in
Colin Pollard.
Neumann (9-10) will host Rutgers-Camden on Sunday for a single game. First pitch is slated for 12:00 PM.
