SALISBURY, Md. – The Neumann University baseball team dropped a 7-2 decision at No. 17 Salisbury University on a cold Thursday afternoon.
Phil Sanborn started the game and went three innings. He allowed four runs, just one earned, on seven hits.
Will Hart went four innings in relief and allowed three runs on three hits.
Jared Morris pitched a scoreless eighth inning.
The Seagulls struck first with two runs in the second and third innings, one three of which were earned.
The Knights got on the board in the fourth inning.
John Lindeborn led off with a single.
John Schoelkopf followed with a double.
Danny Padilla knocked in Lindeborn on a ground out.
Zach Ray was hit by a pitch to put two runners on base.
Tyler Ramos then hit a sacrifice fly to score Schoelkopf.
Salisbury added three more runs in the sixth inning and came away with the 7-2 win.
Neumann (5-7) will look to open its home schedule next Tuesday as it is slated to host Widener. First pitch is slated for 3:30 PM.
