SAN ANTONIO, Texas. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in the final day of the Trinity National Invitational on Saturday.
In the first match of the day against Mary Hardin-Baylor, Neumann fell in straight sets, 25-13, 25-18 and 25-15.
Melanie Malseed led the team with seven kills and 11 digs.
Bre Hickey added six kills.
Rachel Cray handed out nine assists.
In the final match of the opening weekend, the Knights fell to Minnesota-Morris 3-0. Set scores were 25-17, 25-14 and 25-20. Malseed tallied nine kills and 10 digs. Cray dished out 17 assists.
Alex Koppany notched 10 digs.
Neumann (0-4) will open its home schedule on Wednesday when it hosts Franklin & Marshall. Action will get underway at 7:00 PM.
