ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team was defeated by King's College (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon 5-0 in non-conference action.
The Monarchs tallied their goals in the first and third quarters. With five minutes remaining in the first quarter, King's opened the scoring. The Monarchs added their second goal with under a minute remaining in the half.
King's added its third goal in the first minute of the third quarter for a 3-0 lead. The Monarchs added a goal in the 38
th and 41
st minute to seal the win.
Lizzie Yu was busy in net and made 12 saves.
Lizzie Frame tallied a defensive save. King's outshout Neumann 23-4 overall and 18-4 on net.
Neumann (2-3) will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday when they host crosstown foe Widener University. Action is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
