IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team was downed at Immaculata University 90-65 on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference contest.
 
Justin Smith had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights. Dennis Robinson netted 16 points. Sanoussi Abdourhamane added eight points and eight boards.
 
The Knights started out the contest with a 13-5 run over the first six minutes. The Mighty Macs started to chip their way into the lead and with 1:42 left before halftime, tied the game at 25. Smith hit the final basket before the break for a 27-25 lead at halftime.
 
The teams traded baskets over the first five minutes of the second half. A jumper by Abdourhamane put the Knights up by one, 34-33. The Mighty Macs then went on a 17-5 run to take a 50-39 lead midway through the half. Immaculata continued to build its lead throughout the rest of regulation to come away with the 90-65 win.
 
Neumann (6-15, 2-8 Atlantic East) will return home on Saturday to celebrate senior day prior to tip-off with Gwynedd Mercy in the regular season home finale. Tip-off if slated for 3:00 PM.
