BRONX, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win at Lehman College on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 25-10.
Ryan Bollinger led the Knights with 18 kills and a .366 hitting percentage.
Jules Maiorano handed out 37 assists.
Thomas McConnell notched 14 digs.
In the first set, the Knights took a two-point deficit, 16-14, and tallied six straight points behind Bollinger's kills and service aces. A kill by
Conner Kolek sealed the 25-19 set one win.
The Knights took the first four points of the second set. The Lightning came back to take an 11-9 advantage. The teams then went back and forth and were tied at 18. A kill by Bollinger started five straight points for Neumann and seven of the final eight for the 25-19 win.
In the third set, the Knights took an early 9-3 lead. Bollinger tallied his final kill of the match to seal the 24-10 set win and 3-0 match win.
Neumann (4-13) will head to Widener on Thursday for a non-conference match-up beginning at 8:00 PM.
