ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell to Marymount University 97-67 on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action.
Justin Smith led the Knights with 21 points.
Dennis Robinson netted 17 points while
Waheem Lowman tallied 13 and
Nasir Cassel added 10.
The Saints came out and scored the first 14 points of the contest. The teams went back and forth until the end of the half, where Marymount netted the final nine points before halftime, taking a 55-27 lead at the break.
The second half was more balanced, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome and the Saints came away with the 97-67 win.
Neumann (8-14, 2-7 Atlantic East) will head to Immaculata on Wednesday evening for more conference action beginning at 8:00 PM.
