CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team fell at cross-county foe Widener University on Saturday afternoon, 12-0.
Megan Frame started the game in the cage and made three saves.
Ava Irwin took over for the final three quarters. The sophomore was busy as she made 18 saves in net. She faced 15 shots just in the fourth quarter alone.
The team tallied five defensive saves, two coming from
Gianna Guido, two from
Haley Craft and one from
Lexi Stouffer.
Karen Manuel Cruz was a main part of keeping the Pride to two goals in the third quarter. Guido had Neumann's lone shot in the contest.
Neumann (2-7) opens conference play on Wednesday as it hosts Immaculata. Game time is slated for 4:00 PM.
