HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team opened Atlantic East Conference action with a 3-0 win at Centenary University on Tuesday evening. The Knights won by set scores of 25-16, 25-9 and 25-18.
Regan Hickey led the Knights with 13 kills and a .524 hitting percentage.
Ariana Pena added 11 kills and a .688 hitting percentage.
Catie Esslinger and
Dani Smith each handed out 12 assists.
Bre Hickey tallied 13 digs.
The Knights opened the match with a 7-1 lead in set one. A kill by Pena gave Neumann the 25-16 win for a 1-0 edge. R. Hickey sealed the 25-9 set two win and 2-0 match advantage. The Knights used more runs in the third set to come away with the 25-18 win and 3-0 match victory.
Neumann (9-11, 1-0 Atlantic East) is right back on the court tomorrow as it hosts Immaculata in conference action. The match is slated for begin at 7:00 PM.
