WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team was edged by Wilkes University 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) contest.

The Colonels scored quickly, lighting the lamp just 11 seconds in the game. Wilkes added a power play goal later in the period and held a 2-0 lead after the first 20 minutes.

Georgi Rowland put the Knights on the board midway through the second period with a power play goal. Sid Squires and Katelyn Brown had the assists. Brown then found the back of the net to tie the game at the 16:28 mark. Squires tallied the assist.

Wilkes netted the only goal, and the eventual game-winner, on the power play midway through the third period.

Michelle Winand-Bacon made 29 saves in net. The Knights outshot the Colonels 43-32.
