CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team dropped a 96-56 decision to undefeated DeSales University in the first day of the Al Senavitis Memorial Holiday Tournament.
 
KJ Speller led the Knights with 13 points and eight rebounds. 
Jalen Vaughns tallied 12 points and 
Tony James added 10.
 
Speller netted the first basket of the game. The Bulldogs answered with a three-pointer. 
Ryan Starr hit a three-pointer for a 5-5 game four minutes into the game. With DeSales leading 12-9 with 14:28 on the clock, the Bulldogs went on an 11-0 run to take a 23-9 lead with seven minutes left in the first half. Vaughns hit a layup before DeSales went on another run, this time it was seven straight points, for a 30-11 score. The Bulldogs continued to build their lead before halftime and took a 50-20 lead into the break.
 
The Knights were not able to cut into the lead built by the Bulldogs in the first half and DeSales remained undefeated with the win.
 
Neumann (6-5) will face Hood in the consolation game tomorrow evening beginning at 5:00 PM.
