WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at King's College (Pa.) on Sunday afternoon to open the 2022 season.
The Monarchs won both matches 3-0. The set scores in the first match were 25-12, 25-12 and 25-17. The second match followed with scores of 24-14, 24-13 and 25-6.
Josiah Melendez notched five kills in his Knights debut.
Jules Maiorano handed out nine assists.
Brandon Baskerville notched five digs and three service aces.
In the second match, Melendez and
Eric Van Horn each tallied three kills. Maiorano again dished out nine assists and added five digs.
Neumann (0-2) will have its home opener on Thursday when it hosts Valley Forge. The match is set to begin at 7:00 PM.
