IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University finished Atlantic East Conference action with a 3-1 win at Immaculata University on Wednesday evenings.
Regan Hickey led Neumann with 16 kills and a .379 hitting percentage.
Lauren Garvey tallied 14 and had a .417 hitting percentage.
Anna Mansel added eight kills and a .429 hitting percentage.
Dani Smith handed out 34 assists and 13 digs. Hickey notched 11 digs and
Claudia Bournazel added 10.
Tied at seven in the first set, Neumann scored six straight points and nine of the next 10 points for a 16-8 lead. Up 17-10, the Knights scored eight straight points for the 25-10 first set win.
After the Mighty Macs scored the first three points, the Knights tallied the next eight points. Leading 21-17, Neumann scored the final four points of the set for a 25-17 win.
Immaculata took a 7-1 lead to open the third set. The Mighty macs held on for the 25-18 set three win to force a fourth set.
Down 6-5 in the fourth set, Neumann scored five straight points to take a 9-6 edge. Leading by two, 10-8, the Knights went on an 8-2 run for a 19-10 score. A kill by
Maria Brown sealed the 25-14 set four win and 3-1 match win.
Neumann (11-16, 4-2 Atlantic East) will head to DeSales for a tri-match with Stockton on Saturday to finish regular season action.
