BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team picked up its first win of the 2022-23 season, 2-1, over SUNY Brockport on Saturday afternoon.
 
The game remained quiet throughout the first two periods as all scoring took place in the third period.
 
The Knights struck first as Tyler Kulas scored 5:48 into the third. Nate Dunning and Luke Croucher drew the assists. Brockport tied the game at one midway through the third.
 
With 1:36 left in regulation, and on the power play, Brady Mistler broke the tie with a goal. Croucher and Joey Mancuso had the assists on the game-winner.
 
Cole DeFazio made 36 saves in net to pick up his first win as a Knight. Shots were relatively even, with Brockport with a slight 37-32 advantage.
 
Neumann (1-1) will host Alvernia University on Friday for its home opener. The UCHC contest is slated to begin at 7:00 PM
