ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's hockey team fell to No. 10 Nazareth College on Saturday afternoon 12-0 in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) contest.
Emma Swansburg started the game for the Knights and played in the first two periods. The sophomore made 28 saves.
Ally Joly made 15 saves in the third period. The Golden Flyers outshot the Knights 55-10.
Alyssa Papasodero led the Knights with two shots while
Taylor Ettore added two.
The Golden Flyers would strike fast in the first period scoring the first goal of the game at the 6:43 mark and taking the lead 1-0. The Golden Flyers would then go on to score four more goals in the first. The Knights would try everything to get a puck across the line but would come up short.
Nazareth started the second period off faster than they did in the first scoring the first goal of the period at the 3:36 mark. The Golden Flyers continued to add to the score to come away with the win.
Neumann (1-9, 1-7 UCHC) will host Buffalo State next weekend for a pair of games. Puck drop on Friday is 7:00 PM.
