Men's Basketball Picks Up Third Straight Win

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked an 89-64 win over Washington College on Thursday night. 
 
The Knights put on quite a performance for the Neumann crowd against the Shoremen. Jalen Vaughns had a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds. Tony James had 11 points and eight rebounds. Ryan Starr put up 10 points and was the main playmaker as he handed out 15 assists. Once again Starr was close to a triple-double as he grabbed nine rebounds. TJ Lewis also netted 10 points.
 
Tied at six early in the game, the Shoremen went on an 8-1 run to take a 14-7 lead. The Knights didn't go away and a Lewis layup midway through the half tied the game at 19. Tied at 22 a few minutes later, Neumann went on a 15-2 run for a 37-24 lead with 4:39 left in the half. The Knights continued to add to their lead and took a 47-29 score into halftime.
 
Neumann continued to remain hot after halftime. As the starters began to sub out of the game, the Knights continued to build their lead and a layup by Ja'bri White put Neumann up by 30 midway through the second. White followed with a dunk while brought the crowd to their feet. Ishmael Marshall rounded out scoring with a free throw in the final minute.
 
Neumann (8-3) heads to Susquehanna University on Saturday for the final game of the fall semester. Tip-off is slated at 2:00 PM.
