ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team fell to Delaware Valley 11-1 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
Zach Mullins started the game and went 6.0 innings. He allowed three runs, two earned, on seven hits while striking out four.
Chris Balshuweit,
Nick Colon and
Thomas Carroll each went one inning in relief.
The Aggies took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Delaware Valley scored single runs again in the fifth and sixth innings for a 3-0 lead. The Aggies then plated four runs in the seventh and eighth innings for the 11-0 score.
The Knights spoiled the shutout bid with a run in the bottom of the eighth as
Shawn Vega knocked in
Cristian Diaz.
Neumann (4-5) is now off until next Tuesday when it travels to Muhlenberg. First pitch is slated for 3:30 PM.
