In a battle for playoff seeding, Saturday's senior day contest would be intense from the opening draw. With a razor-thin margin between the two sides, neither team would lead by more than two goals for the entirety of the matchup. Marywood got the better start on the day, opening things with three of the game's first four goals to take a 3-1 lead at the 6:53 mark, with Neumann's lone goal coming from Fagan. However, the Knights would close the quarter on a 3-1 run of their own as the period finished tied at four apiece. Two more goals from Fagan a single tally from Fiedler gave the Knights a their first lead of 4-3 at the 3:58 mark, but a Pacer marker with 2:20 remaining in the frame made it 4-4 heading to the second.

The scoring frenzy would slow a bit in the second stanza, with the game's next goal not coming until there was just 2:04 left in the opening half. The teams would combine for three goals in the final two minutes with a pair of Fagan goals sandwiching a Marywood marker to bring the score to 6-5 moving to halftime.

The back and forth battle continued into the third quarter, as this time it was the Pacers' turn to reassert themselves. The visitors scored four of the first five goals of the period to match their largest lead of the game at 9-7 with 57 seconds left in the frame. The game looked to be heading to the fourth at the same score-line, but a last breath goal from Fiedler with just 11 seconds remaining in the quarter gave Neumann a ton of life heading to the fourth trailing by just a goal at 9-8.

The Fagan show continued early in the fourth, as the sophomore scored at the 11:14 mark to knot the contest up at 9-9. Neither team would pull away from there, as  every time one squad scored, the other would follow back within just minutes. Marywood took three leads in the final frame at 10-9, 11-10 and 12-11, but each time the Knights pegged them back. Adams recorded the 10th goal for the Knights, while Fagan scored her eighth and ninth goals of the day for the team's 11th and 12th markers. Her final tally of the afternoon came when Neumann needed it the most, as she scored with just 17 seconds left to force overtime with the score at 12-12.

In the six-minute, sudden-death overtime period, each team would have their chances to win the game. The Knights got the first chance via a shot from Fagan, but it was saved by the Marywood net-minder as the game stayed tied. The Pacers got a shot on goal a few possessions later, but Corrigan stood tall to keep the Knights alive. Things looked like they were turning against Neumann as Fiedler was called for a yellow card with just 2:05 left in the extra session, but the hosts found another gear in the final minutes. Despite being down a player, the Knights played solid defense and found the game-winner off the stick of Blemings. After a nice feed from Adams, the sophomore forward ripped home her eighth goal of the season to send the Neumann bench onto the field to celebrate the 13-12 senior day win.

Neumann (7-7, 1-3 Atlantic East) finishes its regular season schedule next Wednesday, April 27th when the team plays host to Immaculata University. Game-time for the pivotal conference contest is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
