ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team dropped a pair of games to Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action. The Mighty Macs won by scores of 7-6 in eight innings and 3-1.
Prior to the game, the Knights honored their seniors:

Billy Hunt and
Stephen Caruso.
In game one,
Zach Mullins started and went 5.0 innings on the mound. He allowed six runs, five earned, on seven hits in the no decision.
Pat Leighton pitched two shutout innings with one hit and two strikeouts.
Nick Colon ended up with the loss, pitching the eighth inning.
The Mighty Macs opened the scoring in the fourth with an unearned run. Immaculata added five runs in the fifth for a 6-0 advantage.
In the bottom of the sixth,
Andrew Curran put Neumann on the board with a two-run shot to left field. In the bottom of the seventh, of a seven-inning game,
Marcus White singled in Glebocki for a 6-3 score. Ray followed with a double to score White. Lopez then doubled in Ray to pull the Knights within one, 6-5. Curran picked up his third RBI of the game to score Lopez and tie the game at six and send the game into extras.
The Mighty Macs were able to score a run in the top of the eighth, then sent the Knights down 1-2-3 in the bottom half of the inning for the 7-6 win.
Hart pitched a complete game two and allowed three runs, two earned, all in the first inning. He struck out seven and allowed six hits.
Neumann's bats remained quiet through most of game two. In the bottom of the fifth, the Knights put runners on second and third with one out but could not break through.
In the sixth, Curran singled to lead off the inning. Pfaffman came into pinch run and would score Neumann's lone run on an RBI groundout by
Alec Silverman.
The Knights again tried to make some noise in the bottom of the seventh.
Shawn Vega walked to lead off the inning and stole second. He advanced to third on a single by Caruso. With two runners on, Cortellessa was called out at the plate for interference on a throw to second base on a steal attempt. Silverman then grounded out to end the game.
Neumann (11-19, 5-10 Atlantic East) will host Washington College on Monday in a non-conference contest beginning at 3:30 PM.
