ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team lost a non-conference matchup to Washington College (Md.) 15-7 on Monday afternoon.
Marcus White went 2-for-5 with a homerun and RBI.
Zach Ray also notched two hits.
The Knights got the scoring started in the bottom of the first with a White leadoff homerun. Ray followed with a single and moved to third on an error. He came around to score on a balk from the pitcher.
The Shoreman would answer back with three runs in the top of top of the second to make it 3-2.
Anthony Basciano doubled in the bottom of the second and scored on an RBI single by Ray for a 3-3 score. The Shoremen added three more runs in the third to make it 6-3.
The score remained 6-4 until the Shoreman would plate seven runs in the sixth for a 13-3 lead.
The Knights plated four runs in the seventh as
Andrew Curran hit into an RBI fielders choice, that ended up plated two runs.
Ryan Lopez scored on a sacrifice by
Nick Glebocki. Curran scored on a groundout by Alex Silverman for a 13-7 score.
The Shoremen got back two of the runs in the top of the eighth for the 15-7 final.
Thomas Carroll started the game on the mound.

Neumann (11-20) is back at it tomorrow when it hosts Keystone beginning at 3:30 PM.
