ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team picked up a 2-1 overtime win against Lancaster Bible College on Thursday afternoon in the 2022 season opener.
Rachel Koerner scored both goals for the Knights.
Meg Frame made three saves in net for the win. Neumann outshot Lancaster Bible 19-5, let by Koerner with six.

Lizzie Frame each added three shots. The Knights also led in penalty corners, 10-4.
The Chargers took the lead in the second quarter when they capitalized on a penalty stroke in the 24
th minute. LBC held the 1-0 lead at the half.
The Knights increased the pressure during the second half, outshooting the Chargers 14-3. Koerner broke through in the 55
th minute as she put her own pass into the back of the cage.
It didn't take long into the extra session as Koerner scored her second goal just 1:11 into overtime on a shot from just inside the circle to give Neumann the 2-1 win.
Neumann (1-0) will host King's on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM.
