MADISON, N.J. – The Neumann field hockey team dropped its game at Drew University, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon.
Meg Frame had 10 saves in the cage over the first three quarters.
Emma Schneider notched one save in the fourth quarter.
Rachel Koerner scored for the Knights and led the team with three shots.
Drew scored two goals in the first four minutes of the game for an early lead. The Rangers scored again in the final minute of the first quarter for a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes. Both teams were kept off the scoreboard in the second and Drew held the 3-0 score at the half.
After the Rangers scored early in the second half, Koerner put the Knights on the board in the 43
rd minute.
Elle Smith had a shot on net and Koerner sunk the rebound for the goal.
Drew scored one more time in the fourth for the 5-1 final.
Neumann (3-3) will head to Wilkes on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM game.
