EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision at Wilkes University on Wednesday evening.
The Knights had four shots overall in the game, three on goal.
Rachel Koerner had two shots while
Lizzie Frame and
Mia Black tallied the others.
Goalie
Meg Frame made 14 saves in the cage.
Lizzie Frame and
Elle Smith each notched one defensive save.
After a scoreless first quarter where the Colonels outshot the Knights 10-2, Wilkes broke midway through with a goal in the second quarter and took the 1-0 lead into halftime. The Knights made numerous changes in the offensive zone but could not manage to get the ball into the cage.
The Colonels scored a goal early in the third quarter and then added two more goals in the fourth quarter for the 4-0 final.

Neumann (3-4) will hit the road on Saturday when they travel to William Patterson University. Action is slated to get underway at 3:00 PM.
