ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team picked up its third straight win in a 3-0 match over Penn State Berks on Tuesday night.
Regan Hickey led the Knights against the Lions with 15 kills and 14 digs.
Dani Smith handed out 32 assists and notched three service aces.
Claudia Bournazel notched 14 digs and three service aces.
The first set started off back and forth. Leading 15-14, the Knights scored five of the next six points to take a 20-15 edge. A kill by Hickey gave Neumann the 25-20 set one win.
The Knights built a 15-6 advantage in the second set. Neumann scored five of the final six points, including two kills by
Anna Mansel, for the 25-11 set two win.
The Knights jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the third set. The Lions worked their way back into the set and took a 13-12 edge. Neumann responded with seven straight points on the service of Smith for a 19-13 lead. A Mansel kill sealed the 25-20 third set win and 3-0 match victory.
Neumann (5-10) heads to Wilkes on Saturday for a tri-match with New Jersey City University. The first match is set for 1:00 PM.
