CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Widener University on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-16, 25-12 and 25-13.
Veryl Burns led the Knights with six kills.
Manny Waugh tallied three.
Christian Johnson handed out 11 assists.
TJ McConnell notched five digs while
Brandon Baskerville and Waugh each had three.
In the second set, the Knights scored the first two points on kills by Waugh and
Ben Elko. The Pride tallied the next three points before the teams traded and were knotted at four. Widener went on to score the next six and take a 10-4 advantage.
Neumann (0-2) will open its home schedule on Friday when it hosts Eastern Mennonite beginning at 7:00 PM.
