ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University Field Hockey team came up with a big overtime win 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon in a conference match up against Manhattanville College.

The first quarter started off very back and forth with the possession with the Valiants. Neumann had two opportunities in penalty corners but could not finish it off. In the second quarter the Knights dominated, and their defense held strong with
Emma Schneider coming up with four saves before halftime.

In the 38
th minute of play there was a goal pushed in by
Mia Black with an assist from
Elle Smith putting the Knights on the board 1-0. Neumann dominated the third quarter with six penalty corners but could not push ahead anymore. In the fourth quarter Manhattanville was able to score on a breakaway equalizing the game at 1-1.

This matchup got pushed to overtime which would be the fourth overtime game Neumann has been in this season. Two minutes into the extra session,
Cadence Conti scored a goal from a cross from
Natalie Zoffer. With the win, the Knights clinched a spot in the Atlantic East Conference tournament.

Neumann (5-11, 2-3 Atlantic East) will travel to Cedar Crest College on Saturday to take on the Falcons in a non-conference game. This game will start at 11:00 AM.
