ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Ice Hockey team fell to Arcadia University, 7-2 in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) matchup on Saturday night.
The Golden Wolves controlled play very early into the game racking up three goals in the first period giving them a big lead. Alvernia was also able to score first in the second period, but Neumann took advantage of two power plays cutting the score in half to make it 4-2. The first goal scored by
Brady Mistler, was assisted by
Joe DiGiulio and
Cameron Hatziioannou. The second goal was by
Yancy Whitaker assisted by Hatziioannou.
The Golden Wolves pulled away, adding three more goals in the final period to secure the five-goal win, and the weekend home-and-home sweep.
The Knights outshot the 26-22, paced by
Joe DiGiulio's six and Mistler's four.
Tyler Kulas had a strong game in the face-off dot, winning 13 of 20 draws.
Neumann (0-3, 0-2 UCHC) will travel to King's College on Friday to take on the Monarch's at 7:00 PM
