UTICA, N.Y. – The Neuman University women's hockey team was tripped up by No. 9 Utica University 10-0 on Friday evening in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) action.
The Pioneers scored five goals in the first period over a 10-minute span. Utica added two more goals in the second period and three in the third. All goals came at even-strength as Neumann did not take a penalty in the game.
Michelle Winand-Bacon made 44 saves over the first two periods, 22 coming in each period.
Noelle Woodward made her Knights debut in net and had 18 saves in the third period.
Neumann (4-5-1, 0-4-1 UCHC) will face-off with Utica again tomorrow afternoon beginning at 2:00 PM.
